In a graduate seminar on graphic design, students were asked to select a public figure or cultural icon who lived and worked between 1880 -1960, reinvent them in a contemporary context, and create a web presence to showcase their current work. I chose to re-imagine Czech artist and Art Nouveau progenitor, Alphonse Mucha, as a popular tattoo artist. To promote his new, fictional public persona, I designed a website, created Facebook and Pinterest pages, and wrote and designed a digital article for Tattoo Culture Magazine.
